3 Bedroom Family Home - occupying the upper floors of a multi-storey house. The home normally accommodates 5-6 persons in 3 Bedrooms plus an additional 2 persons on the Sofa-bed in the Living Room.
• GROUND LEVEL: Driveway Parking, Main entrance, front foyer, laundry room with full sized washer and tumble dryer. A separate small studio suite is on this level, at the back, which is also available for short term rental.
• SECOND LEVEL: Well equippped large gourmet kitchen with Dining area at the back of the house overlooks the garden. There is no formal dining room as such, but the table will seat 6-8. With 2 sky lights and windows on three sides, it is a very bright room that catches the morning sun.
BEDROOMS: The Master bedroom faces East and the morning sun. Good size room with Queen bed plus 1 twin bed for triple occupancy, ensuite bathroom with tub and shower. 2 smaller bedrooms (facing West) - Double bed and 1 twin bed respectively. 2nd full bathroom with tub and shower.
• THIRD LEVEL: Living room (13x18) set across the width of the house has a mainly westerly orientation for the afternoon sun. Large windows on all four sides make the room bright and airy. One window over the fireplace looks north to the mountains.
Large balcony (12x21) running alongside the living room favours the afternoon sun, and a view to the local Mountains that form a backdrop to Vancouver. A BBQ, patio table and chairs are available here.
• FOURTH LEVEL: Another staircase (exterior) leads to the top of the house and another big deck (11'x18') 'the Captain's walk!' from which the 360 degree view is just fabulous. Shake a branch with the Norway Spruce, which towers over the North East corner of the deck, and overhangs a few branches. This area may be inaccessible during a heavy snow fall.
Two huge decks/balconies with discrete concealed nighttime illumination equals a summer entertainer's dream. An afternoon espresso or an apéritif with appetizers or both!. Dinner alfresco, then evening cocktails by moonlight on the upper terrace! Priceless!
Two flights of (ungated) stairs may make it unsuitable for toddlers, small children under 5 years old unless closely supervised and also for less agile elderly persons. Sorry, Pets declined.
